Adding and Managing Pauses in Trupeer Scripts#
This document explains how to add and remove short and long pauses within your script on the Trupeer platform while editing a video. Follow the steps below to configure pauses precisely where you need them.
Step 1: Open the Edit Page and Locate the Add Pause Option#
Once you are on the Trupeer video edit page, locate the Add Pause option in the interface. This is the control you will use to insert pauses into your script.

Step 2: Select the Script Text and Add a Short Pause#
Click on the specific piece of text in the script where you want to insert a pause. Then click on the Add Pause option.

You will see two options: Short Pause and Long Pause. To insert a short pause, click Short Pause. The short pause will now be added next to the selected text.
Step 3: Add a Long Pause at Another Script Location#
To add a long pause at a different part of the script, click on the text where you want the long pause to appear.

Next, click the Add Pause option again.

This time, select Long Pause. The long pause will now be added at that location in the script.
Step 4: Save Your Changes and Refresh the Page#
After adding all required pauses, click Keep Changes to save your edits.

Then refresh the page in your browser.

Once the page has refreshed, the pauses will automatically be applied to the video playback. You can now see that the pauses have been added in your video timeline or preview.

Step 5: Remove an Existing Pause from the Script#
If you want to delete a pause you previously added, click on the script text where the pause is present.

Place your cursor just before or after the pause marker and press Backspace on your keyboard to remove the pause.

In this way, you can remove any unwanted pauses from the script as needed.
